Environmental Biosafety Research (EBR journal)

An interdisciplinary journal for research pertinent to the biosafety of GMO release in the environment.

The symposia counter and even refute the often-heard argument that "there is no scientific data
on the effects of releasing GMOs into the environment."
It is up to scientists to provide society with accurate data and information with which to conduct
a vital and rational debate on the merits and demerits of genetic modification. At the same time,
we must also exploit the opportunity to interest the public in the greater scientific issues of
agricultural production, including not only GM but also conventional, traditional, and alternative
or organic production systems.

It is our duty to provide accurate data and information on biosafety pertaining to all of these issues. A corollary responsibility is to refute incorrect information or interpretations, and to explode the myriad myths, misinformation and false assumptions so prevalent in the public debate.
In addition to conducting the biennial Symposia, the
ISBR publishes, though publishing partners EDP sciences, a peer-reviewed journal,
Environmental Biosafety Research.

Environmental Biosafety Research includes both
reviews and original research papers.
